Ethernet to LAN communication
Millennia/DX FT Ethernet to LAN communication allows for the system to communicate over LAN (Local Area Network) or the Internet (WAN)
(see the diagram). Traditionally, Millennia/DX FT
only communicated over serialport being connected to the hardware directly via DB9 serial comport. Now, not only Millennia communicates through
serial port but also through Ethernet or NIC card. With this enhanced mode of communication, Millennia system doesn't have to be tied down to
a computer local to the hardwares (I/O cards, outstations, etc). Plus, no more extra wires needed, since Ethernet-to-LAN communication will use
the existing LAN connections on site.
