Las Vegas project
Rel-Tek is in the final stages of system testing the Gas Monitoring System for Sunset Transit's new CNG bus garages under construction in Las Vegas.
The system consists of:
- 81 GasBoss CNG gas sensors, approved intrinsically safe to Class I, Div 1 & 2
- 50 RA1000 audio/visual alarm units, each with an amber strobe and loud warble horn
- 6 DXcalibar telemetry and IS barrier panels (patented)
- 6 MagiKal calibration gas control panels(patent pending)
- 6 Cal-gas distribution arrays of manifolds, regulators and tubing
- 2 10-amp power panels for powering the many alarm units
- 1 Central computer running Rel-Tek's own Millennia-DX software
- 1 Hot-standby computer, providing automatic backup for the primary computer
- 2 Ethernet Lan connections for connecting the main and paratransit buildings
- 1 Computer workstation for use in a remote management office*
The images show the test setup in our factory.
The hot standby computer is active, maintaining congruent files in the standby, and switching over on a primary failure.
One remote workstation is also provided for the paratransit building.
Installation will be facilitated by NEC's permitting normal writing for IS circuits in Div 2 areas.
All of the electronics, software and telemetry are engineereed and designed by Rel-Tek. Actual production involves dozens of area suppliers and sub-contractors, under the direction of Rel-Tek engineers.
